N+1 Investment & Corporate Papers: Why invest long term in a crisis environment
In the course of its activities, N+1 acquires significant know-how and develops high value added relationships with its clients, providers and competitors.
One way in which this know-how can be extended to our clients is by producing and editing highly selective and specialised information in the form of “papers”, with the aim of going beyond a mere review of market circumstances to explore the causes and possible consequences of current trends and events.
N+1 aims to position this new publication, called the N+1 Investment and Corporate Papers halfway between academic financial research papers and the reports produced daily by financial institutions and agents and the dedicated press. In addition, N+1 intends to offer an independent and objective vision, without any commercial bias of any kind.
Lastly, we intend to feature and collaborate with professionals who are considered benchmarks in their respective fields of expertise within the specialised asset management and financial advisory businesses, the latter from the perspective of our core client groups: companies, institutional investors and family offices.
This first issue tries to provide answers to the numerous concerns engulfing the world of investment, which we have attempted to sum up under the title: “Why invest long term in a crisis environment?” Three distinguished international investment professionals offered their views on this topical matter at a conference organised by N+1 for its clients in February 2009. Their speeches and remarks were compiled into this first publication in the form of three compelling theses.
