N+1’s strategic definition is articulated around four essential concepts:
Specialisation
Specialisation has always been at the heart of our strategy. It is the only way to maintain highly professional teams, to truly create value added, stand out in our clients’ eyes and offer premium service in our two activities: direct and specialised investment management and corporate advisory services.
Client proximity
We only want three types of clients: Spanish or international companies, institutional investors and large estates or family offices. On certain occasions, either for historic reasons or due to the very nature of the business, our business generation areas may directly cover certain other clients which could be loosely termed as standalone (i.e., linked exclusively to a single business line). However, in many cases, our clients are customers of more than one product or service or are potential customers of these products. To this end, we have created a Strategic Client Group designed to service ‘bundled’ clients and to feed “market intelligence” back to the generation areas.
European Expansion
Our natural market and ambitions lie in Europe. Although many of our existing clients are European and we have already started to open up business generation efforts on the ground outside Spain, the Group’s strategy is Europe focused in terms of both production and fundraising.
Talent
Delivery of our growth and international expansion targets is inextricably linked to our ability to attract fresh talent and retain existing talent.
